About MERCS

MERCS is a volunteer-run ham radio club that provides backup communications during emergencies, supports public safety efforts, and promotes amateur radio through training, education, and community involvement.

We serve as backup emergency communications for Mission ESS (Emergency Support Services), ready to assist when regular communication systems are compromised.

MERCS is connected to BC WARN (BC Wireless Amateur Radio Network), providing resilient connectivity between the Mission EOC and other BC WARN connected sites across British Columbia.
